EMERGENCY REGISTRATION OF CHINA COMPANIES.
ARTICLE 4A
COMPANIES WHICH COMPLIED WITH THE DEFENCE (CHINA COMPANIES TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF PEGISTERED OFFICE) REGULATIONS, 1941.

Where any China Company has transferred its registered
office from a place within the limits of the China Order
in Council, 1925, to some part of the dominions of His
Majesty pursuant to the Defence (China Companies Temporary
Transfer of Registered Office) Regulations, 1941, but which
has not been registered in some territory within the do-
minions of His Majesty in accordance with the law or regu-
lations in force for the time being in that territory, such
company shall, upon any registration of such company as a
Hong Kong Company pursuant to this Proclamation, transfer
its registered office to such place as is provided for in
the Memorandum of Association of such company as amended
from time to time and thereupon the Defence (China Com-
panies Temporary Transfer of Registered Office) Regulations,
1941, and any amendment of the Companies Ordinance, 1932,
applicable to such qompany by reason of such regulations
shall cease to have effect.
ARTICLE 48
COMPANIES WHICH REGISTERED UNDER THE DEFENCE
(COMPANIES) REGULATIONS 1940 OR SIMILAR PROVISIONS ELSEWHERE IN THE BRITISH DOMINIONS.
Notwithstanding anything in this Proclamation to the
contrary, it shall be competent for any company, which at

any time prior to the 25th December, 1941, had a registered
office within the limits of the China Order in Council,
1925, and which pursuant to the provisions of the Defence
(Companies) Regulations, 1940, of the United Kingdom` or
pursuant to any laws or regulations in force in any other
territory within the dominions of His Majesty, registered
after the 25th December, 1941, as a company either in the
United Kingdom or some other territory as aforesaid and
